This is a 2-day course (using a ship simulator) for Captains and senior Chief Officers who are due for promotion. Objective of the course includes: to understand the specific manoeuvreabilities of a large container vessel, cruise vessels or bulkcarriers / tankers to (1) carry out the manoeuvre to anchor the vessel at a given anchor position under the influence of wind and current. (2) to berth and un-berth a large vessel under the influence of wind and current . The trainer is an ex-PSA pilot with 35 years of working experience as a pilot in Singapore and now specializes in ship handling training. The simulator exercises will involve achieving the above objectives. Maximum size of class – 6 participants
